35 weeks

35 Weeks!! So the range is 14-42 days, somewhere in that time I'll be having a baby:)

This past weekend my sisters hosted a shower for me and baby, here are a few highlights.

32 weeks- 8 months!!!

30 weeks

Wow, it is only 30-something weeks from now on!

We went on our first trip, with baby in belly, to Utah to see my bff and her lil baby Jackson. It was a short and sweet visit with lots of baby time. It gets me both in baby mode and scares me too.

Sarah was way too sweet and made me a lifesaver gift basket of things that have saved her thus far.Thank you x10!

We also went to the JJ Cole factory which just so happens to be in Logan, UT, and having their semi annual warehouse sale. I was able to get 7 things for 70 bucks, if they were bought in the store, well over 206 dollars. I love a good deal.

Today we finally got the stroller too. I was able to set it all up except for one wheel. Here is the finished product. Brett just had to put Yankee in it and wheel him around the house.

And Brett's highlight of the trip, sorry Jackson, was that a gold medal Olympic wrestler was on our flight back home. We had noticed some people taking pictures with a man ahead of us and Brett thought he knew who it was. We asked and it was Rulon Gardner.
As we were changing planes in Denver I spotted him again AND he was flying to Cedar Rapids too. Turns out he lives in Logan and runs a training camp. He was coming to Iowa City to give a speech to the UI Fball team. Brett had him sign his diaper bag:)

One key note from this week- no weight gain wooohoooo. I have been getting up there and just waiting for it to slow down a bit. I am still in the healthy range but really feeling it. Everything else going well too. Lots of movement, punches, kicks, turns. Baby was active on the plane rides. I feel hiccups every now and then, still down low, so we will find out at my appt. this week if head is still down too. That's all~!

3rd Trimester!

28 Weeks! Start of 3rd Trimester.

I still love being pregnant, no complaints really at all. The kicking and moving has become so much stronger lately. I love staring at my belly and watching it move in a sort of ripple pattern across as the baby rolls. I also love poking around at body parts and then having them poke me back. I am trying so hard to catch some of the giant kicks on video but I swear she knows the second I press record. I felt hiccups for the first time last night. I noticed these tiny taps that were very regular, timed out, then it hit me. I think they lasted about a half hour or so. Anyways they were down towards my pelvis so I am guessing that is where the head is now. We will be making our first baby video soon, so that our little one will always know what she/he was like in my belly. Also documenting how we lived our life at the time.

I did have my 27 week appointment last week. All went well. Heart rate was in the 150's.BP and weight good, I am just wondering how much more I will gain though! It has to slow down eventually right. O well, I can deal. With the nicer weather I have been walking the neighbor hood more, I walk, Brett runs:) My midwife thought she could grab around the head down in the pelvis too. My belly was measuring right on. Drank the glucola right down, and passed my gestational diabetes test too.

I decided I am going to experiment with cloth diapers too. I will start this around a month or two old, once the poop is not so ickky runny. I have it narrowed down to bum genius and softbums diapers. I will order a trial of each. I just can not believe how much money will be saved and happy I will not contribute to the millions of diapers currently sitting in the landfills now. I can always fall back on disposables for certain situations too, they aren't completely ruled out. I just think I owe it to myself and baby to at least try. I will be home mostly too so I think I can handle it, we'll see.

Also doing some traveling, Kansas City with my mom and sisters this weekend. Salt Lake City next weekend. May is going to fly by! I am scheduling a 4D US for the end of this month and need to work on pregnancy photos somewhere too. and NAMES!! This is by far the hardest and quite important too. I am putting a deadline on my to do list- 38 weeks, 10 to go!!!!!!

99 days to go!!!

No big updates this week. The baby room is done!
Growing and growing. Love feeling the kicks all the time. Wearing mostly maternity stuff, if I wear my own pants, they are definitely unbuttoned. Regular shirts ride up the belly a lot. The warmer weather does my body good! I really love being pregnant<3
