Iowa State Fair

I can't believe I have lived in Iowa my entire 25 years of existence and never gone to the state fair, I guess I am more of a city mouse than country mouse. So when Brett and I had the day off together I thought we should take a day trip to Des Moines. Jill came along since she also has never been to the fair. I think I was most excited about the food! Here are a few highlights. We walked around and took in some sights, rabbits, cattle, horse, sheep, goats, missed the piglets :( but ate a piglet instead! ate food on a stick including a deep fried snickers which was delish, saw the butter cow, went into a few exhibits, rode the ski lift, dealt with the rain, thought about doing the bungee jump thing but chickened out and I think that is about it.
